Hello
dismantle the hard drive and connect it to another PC
test the drive with "crystal disk info"
This software is very well designed, it indeed has a color system to inform you about the status of your HDD/SSD:
- Blue, very good condition
- Green, very good condition
- Yellow, one or more faults are reported, this may cause instability in Windows, crashes, etc.
Back up your data as soon as possible, then replace the HDD/SSD
- Red, the HDD/SDD has reached its critical threshold, it is about to fail (physically or mechanically)
Turn off your PC and have a data recovery performed by a technician.
- Gray, the HDD/SSD is detected but it is not recognized by your computer.
If it shows up on an HDD/SDD that has been functioning for several years, this generally indicates a fatal failure.
