Hello,
Since I have version 8 of Acrobat Reader, every time I open a PDF file, the software prepares the content of the file. How can I get rid of this tedious step that I didn't have in previous versions?
Thank you in advance for your help.

After a long search, I finally found THE solution (and no need to mess with other accessibility settings)
Once the document is open, simply right-click, display preferences, Reading:
Then choose in screen reader options either:
- read the currently visible pages
- For large documents, read the currently visible pages (and choose a sufficiently small number of pages in the option at the bottom, 5 for example)
And there you go
