[openoffice] Keep leading zeros in a number

Hello,

I would like to enter product references in Open Office 2.0, and these numerical references all start with 0 (for example: 00012569), but when I input them in Open Office, it removes the 0s. My question is: how can I prevent Open Office from removing these 0s?

Thank you
Configuration: Windows Vista

In the cell format, you declare the content as text. This way, you can have as many 0s as you want.

However, it seems that you need to do this BEFORE entering the data. To be verified

In fact, no, you can transform cells initially designed to contain numbers into cells containing text. This can be done during the work process, and not necessarily because this possibility was planned at the time of page creation.

This is done through the "format cells" dropdown menu.

After a whole series of options on the type of number we want to use, at the end of the list we also have the option "text".
