What is the F5 key on the keyboard used for? I have a blog and I've read that I should press the F5 key.

Lol, you’re confusing refresh and save :)
Refresh means that you tell your computer to make a request to check if what you see on the screen is still up to date, meaning if nothing has changed since it showed it to you. And it works both on the internet and when you are in your computer’s folders (but less so nowadays, as computers are more efficient, they do it by themselves).
