Hello,
I'm having trouble connecting my Lumix camera to my laptop.
The PC doesn't recognize it when I plug it in.
My friend has the exact same camera, and his computer recognized it right away without even using the provided CD.
WHY???

Hi,
I have a Lumix and I have no recognition problems, I've had it for long enough and I don't remember the steps I took; I must have installed the CD.
Have you tried doing a "device addition"? (control panel).
As for me, I don't use the USB cable, I simply insert the Lumix memory card into my laptop, go to the explorer, and click on "removable disk." Then I "select all," cut, and paste it wherever I want.
Keep me posted.

So I installed the installation CD: LUMIX Simple Viewer. However, it does not start automatically when I connect the device. And when I go to "Acquire on PC," a small message appears: "No images to acquire."
The problem really comes from the fact that my PC does not recognize my device. The same thing happened last time I tried to connect an external hard drive.
So my PC is really not cool. Should I go to the store where I bought it? Or are there some settings to change?
I tried "adding hardware," but... NOTHING!

In the meantime, I won't insult you by asking if you've thought about turning your device on (it's like a car that's out of gas... we don't always think about it)

But why don't you use the memory card on your computer?
What equipment do you have? What system?
