Hello, my wallpaper (Windows) keeps changing by itself...
I put my laptop to sleep for the night and when I turn it back on, a new unknown wallpaper appears before my eyes.
http://img116.imageshack.us/img116/8823/sanstitreel3.png
On the wallpaper, there are buttons I can click that take me to the internet to see mini videos of "cartoons".
I can't change my wallpaper from the right-click on the desktop, but I have to do it with an image from the internet (right-click => set as wallpaper)
But that is not the problem; I would like this image, once changed, not to reappear.
I also noticed that it could be due to Netword that I installed not long ago and which I use for certain software.
I also want to add that with this wallpaper, the color behind my icons has changed and I can no longer set it back to "invisible"; I've read a lot of posts on this subject but none have helped me.
Thank you in advance.

Just look at the screenshot included in my first message, and you can see that there is some white behind the text of the icons...
I have already looked at and applied several messages that have been said on this forum to remove the color behind the text, but none have helped me...

Hi
Well, it is true that my icon texts are transparent, I can't test...
There is a forum with something on the subject,
https://www.clubic.com/forum/t/icone-du-bureau-sur-fond-blanc-au-lieu-de-transparent/102676
but I'll sum it up for you: since you have a thing that modified your desktop, it may have altered other settings as well.
Right-click on "My Computer," advanced, settings for visual effects. They may not be the ones you coded anymore.
Further down the list, "shadows under icon text," check + apply, uncheck + apply.
That should be the solution... that said, review your display options.
Then lock your IE options to prevent anyone from changing your homepage:
Windows registry tips at: https://jesses.pagesperso-orange.fr/Docs/Problemes/Restrictions.htm
I await your response.
Best regards,
Pierre

Ahlala... you're not very cooperative! ;-)
I tried to see if there were any Windows registry settings for these colors
but apparently it's managed based on your display.
I'll suggest something else: completely redo your desktop display,
so that Windows changes the colors.
> No images on the desktop, background in white, then in black, in blue... several times
This will force it to change the colors of the texts and backgrounds.
In the end, restore your initial display.
Sincerely,
Pierre

Hi
Ouch, ouch, ouch
The best thing for you is to download an antispyware like CounterSpy, click on the following link:
https://download.cnet.com/s/security-antispyware/?platform=windows&tag=404
Update it, uncheck system restore, and... keep us posted on what happens next
See you!

You are definitely not being cooperative; you're going to lower the average of resolved posts ;-)
When you say that "right-clicking on the desktop etc., I can't get the list of wallpapers"
how does that happen: is the 'desktop' tab missing in the display properties??
What is not usual?? empty list, grayed out list ...
If we don't have the details, we can't guess.
There’s something wild that has modified your desktop. It may have added "obstacles" to prevent you
from removing what has been added.

Hi to the guys, kisses to the girls,

greyed-out list, when I click on one of the available wallpapers, it does not get selected, unable to scroll up or down in the available list, so: greyed-out list.
new attack on my wallpaper, today around 7-8 PM

Well, if your wild wallpaper redirects you to a website, note the URL.
You can block it later.
Otherwise, you'll have to go back through the modifications I gave you at the beginning to remove that thing.
That said, it should be a click on a link that shouldn't cause this issue.
You need to be vigilant to find out what action is causing it.
As long as you risk picking up this junk, you'll always be bothered.
I believe I already gave you this URL:
https://jesses.pagesperso-orange.fr/Docs/Problemes/Restrictions.htm
You can find the software "zebulon" which should remove a bunch of restrictions
that may have been installed on your PC. Read the documentation carefully, don't ask it to do everything
only what you identify as a problem. Then if there's anything else you can start over.
I also suggest you lock your homepage in the internet options,
Spybot search and destroy can do it (probably others too).
Then when you have the name of the invading site, add it to the Hosts file:
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts (without suffix) open it with notepad.
There's a line 127.0.0.1 Localhost
add a line 127.0.0.1 invading site name
save, then properties of Hosts and check "read-only" and "hidden file"

Hello
You shouldn't click on just anything on the web.
My daughter was caught out in the same way, but with a crazy wallpaper ("beware, lots of viruses").
>> especially don’t click anything, that's exactly what they’re waiting for!!
Right-clicking on the desktop no longer works because you have a web page as a wallpaper.
> Settings, control panel, display, desktop, custom settings: uncheck the use of the homepage.
> control panel and internet options, check your homepage, there’s probably some junk in its place.
> if it’s grayed out and you can’t change it, there’s a solution (to find out).
NB: Spybot allows you to lock these internet options to avoid this kind of inconvenience.
Best regards,
Pierre
