Hello,
We have just purchased a Medion LCD TV (56 cm) model MD 30193 from ALDI.
We are experiencing a problem during the automatic channel installation. No channels can be installed because apparently no antenna is connected, even though all connections have been made correctly. The same goes for the search for analog channels. Nothing works.
Has anyone encountered this problem and can anyone help us?
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
I just bought the same TV as well because I compared ALL the technical specifications and it was the cheapest.
I haven't installed it yet, but for the issue you're mentioning, try contacting MEDION's headquarters by phone (0 825 81 10 00) or by email on their website.
If I encounter the same thing during installation, I will reach out to them. The company seems very professional to me.
Maybe you'll keep me updated and I'll know more.
Good luck!-
Good evening,
Thank you for your response. We contacted customer service, but unfortunately, there is indeed a malfunction. We are connected, and it is impossible to find any channel.
We are awaiting a solution to our problem, which has been sent by the technician to the headquarters in Germany... this is starting off well... I hope you don't encounter the same issue.
Let's keep in touch.
Have a good evening. -

Good evening,
I was planning to buy this type of television because it offers the best value for money.
I have a MEDION computer and LCD screen that I've had for two years, and I'm very satisfied with it.
A small downside is that after a year, my screen broke down, and like you, I thought it would be a hassle regarding warranty and repair. I gathered my courage and, after checking the claim/repair procedure on the MEDION website, I reached out to them.
Very professional reception in my language, friendliness, a smile (yes, even on the phone!), clear instructions confirmed by email, impeccable service.
I followed the instructions, repacked the screen, dropped it off at a nearby KIALA depot with a receipt, and thought we'll see, there's nothing else to do anyway!
The next day, I tracked my package on the Kiala site, which isn't very clear but at least confirms that it has arrived at its destination, setting me up for a long wait.
Nine days later, a new screen was delivered to my home. I know local businesses and large stores that do much worse and treat you like intruders.
Thanks again to MEDION's professionalism and the speed of its collaborators. On this note, it's important to have all the data, chassis numbers, type, etc. at hand and to have performed all the tests in the manual before contacting the Help Desk; this speeds things up, reassures the operators you contact, and saves everyone time.
I hope I've lifted your spirits a bit and wish you good luck. -
Good evening
They need to be contacted by phone (number on the last page of the notice). They explain things very well (there is a problem with the installation instructions).-

Hello,
today, March 11, 2013, I purchased an HD MEDION TV: the problem is the same!
No channels are accessible. However, my antenna works very well, and my TNT decoder on another TV shows all the channels properly.
But on the HD MEDION TV: no channels can be installed.
Do you have a solution?
Thank you for your suggestions and your help. -

I had 5 Medion TVs, two Medion PCs, a DVD player, a camera, a photo camera, etc... In short, I never had any reliability issues, until June 2014, when I decided to buy a 125 cm Medion smart TV for Father's Day. It only worked for three weeks, and since then, I have lost count of the calls to Medion's customer service. I was told three times that they would come to repair it (I had to pick it up from my dad in France because I bought it in Belgium). I blocked off three days to wait. One day at the end of July, fortunately I was there, they came to pick it up, telling me it would be sorted within ten days. After three weeks with no news, I called Medion's customer service again, and they told me they would send me a new one because the other was beyond repair. I blocked off another date, but nothing arrived and no response from them. I turned to Aldi's customer service and ultimately, they refunded me for the TV on November 24th (conclusion: Medion's reliability is hit or miss, Medion's customer service is zero, even minus two, whereas Aldi's customer service deserves an 11/10 for being easily reachable, pleasant phone reception, they followed up on my situation during my wait, and decided to refund me due to Medion's delays of over 5 months). Thank you to the Aldi customer service in Gembloux!

Well, I brought the TV back to get a refund…
Impossible to tune in a single channel.
No signal!!
And I followed the instructions.
