Internet blocked by Kaspersky

Question

Hello,
I have Kaspersky Internet Security as my antivirus and it blocks internet access. But when I only activate 'file antivirus' and 'proactive antivirus', it works.
How can I keep the other protections active without blocking internet access?

Hello,I had the same issue as you, and after some research on the American site I can solve your problem.Just launch the Kaspersky panel, then click on "Configuration." Go into the "Network" option in the left column, click on "options" and find the line "Http: port 80" and uncheck it, then you just need to validate and you’re good to go.For more info, here's the link to the American site: http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208279707

Hello,   I have the same problem. I installed Firefox but it slows down when Kaspersky 2009 is running. I've been searching the web but it's a nightmare. I'll get back to you if it's okay.

Hello,  I'm not a helper but I also have this antivirus (Kaspersky internet security 7.0) and I think it’s just a matter of adjusting your antivirus settings.  Right-click on the "K" icon Settings and from there, try to set your antivirus to recommended mode  Otherwise, it may be the parental control that is enabled (it happened to me once and I couldn't surf the net) and in that case, you just need to disable it. -- The golden rule of conduct is mutual tolerance, for we will never all think the same way, we will only see part of the truth and from different angles. I finally decided to switch to Avast 4.8 and I am very satisfied! Excellent protection and surfing. We need to stop the nonsense of creating antivirus programs that are so heavy and block the internet! There you go, guys! Good luck!

Hi,

I had the same issue too, but I was able to solve it like this:

Right-click on the "K" icon on the Windows taskbar, then click on Settings, then click on Traffic Monitoring or the option that comes below the proxy server, then => Port Setting => you will see two columns, one for description and one for port: Scroll down the rule to General HTTP port 80, uncheck it and then click OK. At this point, you just need to restart your browser for it to work.

Well, as promised, here’s my solution:

You all know that Norton is an antivirus that causes more problems than it fixes, right?
So, believe it or not, the connection issue is due to the conflict between Norton and Kaspersky!

Download this program:

It’s a utility created by Norton to remove all Norton products from your computer.
At the end, after removing everything, restart your computer!

Miracle! It works! =D
I’ve regained my connection, and I have a nice Kaspersky that protects my computer! =)

I forgot to mention, I also tried the methods of disabling the HTTP ports as well as uninstalling Norton. It didn't work, I still have to uncheck options 2, 3, and 4 to be able to access the internet...

Whatever happens, if disabling the analysis of port 80 makes the internet work again, knowing that Kaspersky is not meant to disable connections, it means that port 80 was being analyzed by two security software at the same time, and these two were conflicting...

The best thing, rather than disabling this analysis, is to uninstall the software that is conflicting with Kasp.

I just bought Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 (in store), and despite having an activation key, these bastards are asking me for an email address to validate it, so I can't use the software. If you download it from the internet, you'll be in the same situation without having to pay (50€ for 1 user), so I strongly advise against buying any Kaspersky products given the increasing number of issues related to email accounts, because Kaspersky is a firefighter-arsonist. Don't you find it strange that these new problems arise after installing the software? (One way or another, your data will be sold to third parties, and they will always come out looking clean.)

I also have W8, a brand new laptop, and I just installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2013, and it’s blocking all internet access. I unchecked port 80 as indicated above, and thankfully, I could access my email which was blocked. So it’s better now, but it’s still too slow!!!!
What does port 80 correspond to (is it dangerous to have unchecked it for protection?)
What do the other ports correspond to? Are some of them blocking access?
Thank you in advance for your answers and your help to improve my internet browsing, because computer science has its reasons that my reason does not always understand!....!

I found it ;)
Go to the Kaspersky panel and click on "Settings". Enter the "Network" option in the "Advanced" column and then select "Control only the selected ports" and deactivate all those with the description "HTTP" and you're good to go :)
