Hello,
I am following up on the forum "SCAM Eric Desouza Abidjan",
it turns out that despite all the exchanges, the fraudster or fraudsters continue their scams
on several well-known dating sites and under various pseudonyms.
The person presents a false Brazilian passport which, however, apparently has a real number A1187976
issued on 11/24/2005 and expiring on 11/23/2008.
I have been in contact with a scammer who says, "My name is CALVARES PEDRO ERIC LEONADO, I am 44 years old and I am a financial consultant. I am of Brazilian origin and I plan to move to France very soon."
Here is his email leocalvares2000@yahoo.fr and his msn address leo_44@love.com.
I HOPE THIS MESSAGE will help prevent new victims of romantic scams.
Best regards.

Well, ladies, I see that it doesn’t help to warn you; you continue to believe these scammers and let yourselves be cheated. They are madly in love with all women; what a trap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello
I believe I was in contact with a certain Philippe Lesage, smooth talker that's true, he really makes your head spin. After a month of chatting, since he was in Abidjan for business, he got attacked and injured. He asked me for €3000, and being naive as I am, I was going to send him €1000. But Western Union did not want to accept my money; they questioned me and told me it was a scam. The post office warns people, and that raised my suspicions. So I sat down at my computer to do some research. Thank you for your message, I appreciate it; it has comforted me.
Kisses

Hello,
the person you are talking about, Leonado Pedro Eric Calvares, has contacted me, and he presents himself as a serious lover. For my part, I am cautious. However, I find him physically attractive. Can you tell me more about him and his scam? Thank you.

- I do not know why, I searched for his name on Google as if I was waiting for answers to my questions, and I thank you for giving it to me. I was in contact with a man who called himself Eric Fernandel and later added De Sousa in 2005, a Brazilian in Côte d'Ivoire, a consultant in real estate. I was scammed for two years; he didn't ask for money right away but first charmed me and then made it clear that he was in danger and wanted to come to France. I won’t recount the whole story; it’s enough to write a novel. Until the day I went to the website of the French embassy in Abidjan and read about scams and which ones, I remembered all the times he wanted me to give him my bank account details so he could have money transferred there because he didn't have a bank account in Côte d'Ivoire. But I was wary nonetheless, and when I talked to him about it, he showed his true colors. He sent me away while he always had a sure voice. I know an Ivorian I spoke to who told me that many men used the internet to seduce women and scam them; it’s their source of income. It is crucial to make this known so that women on dating sites do not fall into the trap; it hurts bank accounts but also fragile little hearts.

Hello Babou,
I'm replying to your message because I am the new victim of the scammer LEONADO PEDRO ERIC CALVARES. I really got caught, and I am currently at a loss of 1700 euros. Can you tell me more about this individual? In any case, his scam is very well orchestrated. I hope to hear from you soon.

I'm in a relationship with the same kind of man; he is madly in love with me and wants to come join me in France. He is a cocoa trader and has lost his son and wife. We have been in a relationship for a little over a month, but he has never mentioned money to me. I told him about what I had just discovered on this forum, and he replied that people with bad intentions steal stories from honest people to manipulate women on certain sites. But I am really in doubt. I shouldn't have mentioned my discovery to see if he would bring up the subject of money, but it’s too late now. Thank you for your possible responses. Barbara.

Dear Sandy,
I too was captivated by this Leonardo, in February 2008, he contacted me through a dating site. He sent me a picture of himself, just one. He told me the same story, his wife and daughter died in a plane crash, his father killed by some sort of Brazilian mafia, etc..........
Then here he is in Ivory Coast, finding a friend of his father's, because he is being pursued and wants to recover €150,000 in Paris.
I started to have doubts, so I asked him for more photos, and he became nervous or rather suffered from an ulcer, supposedly. But when he told me he was at the hotel and didn't know how to pay for his room, that’s when I understood the scam before he even talked to me about a loan, I didn't give him time. I am Christian, I told him "Men of Truth." He was not happy at all and accused me of being cruel.
I cried but ended the virtual relationship.
But today, I thought of him again, and this time I searched for him on Google to find him and I came across your message and those of others. I am sick about it, I could have done this much earlier and helped other girls avoid falling into his trap.
I never would have imagined this.
It's crazy

I was a victim of the same scam as you all two years ago, exactly on July 4, 2007; the scammer's name is Ismael Kone who goes by Eric de Souza and Luicio Pargatti who goes by Fernandel de Souza; if you want to see their photos, just Google Luicio Pargatti and scam Eric de Souza; a fake financier and Pargatti a fake accountant; I have sent their photos to the police of Ivory Coast and the police are doing their job; they travel to Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Holland, Morocco, etc. ... this famous ERIC DE SOUZA is BIG and FAT WITH A CROWN ON HIS CHIN, A REAL SCAMMER'S FACE. You can see their photos on aufeminin.com scam from the net and if you go on Google Luicio Pargatti also known as Fernandel de Souza. I went through the same story: police custody; hospitalization; then money for the plane ticket, etc. ; but Ismael Kone, also known as Eric de Souza, is not Brazilian, he is African, and Pargatti is supposedly Italian ... A GREAT BUNCH OF NET SCAMMERS. I WANT TO TELL YOU THAT ERIC DE SOUZA IS NOT A FINANCIER AT ALL, HE IS A PURE AND SIMPLE SCAMMER.

On May 15, 2010, Leonardo Calvares, a financial consultant from Brazil, contacted me. His father, a diplomat, died in a plane accident when he was younger, and his mother passed away recently. I'm cautious because his physique doesn't match the photo he sent me, and I notice that the messages he sends don't seem to come from the same person.
I have been corresponding with Leo for 8 days, and I believe on May 23, 2010, I asked him to forget me because I no longer wanted to play. -
I have the same thing happening to me, or almost. A certain Leonardo de Souza, met on the e-darling site, a Brazilian who recently arrived in France, then had to leave suddenly for Ivory Coast. He sent me his photo, so if you want, we can compare them. Since he has been in Ivory Coast, he has made two money requests via Western Union. Unfortunately, not having a penny, I didn't send him anything. However, he continues to correspond with me, and this has been going on for over a month. The scenario seems identical to the others: parents dead, wife died in a crash, alone in the world, needs to recover a huge inheritance from his father in Ivory Coast, has all the problems in the world to come back to France because he wants to settle here, grand words of love and promises of a life together, in short, all the nonsense of a romance scam, etc. I spoke to the police who asked me to keep playing along and obtain as much information as possible, which I am doing, but it's difficult to get a crook to admit that he is a crook, isn't it?

Hello,
I just read your testimonies and I was shocked because I've just realized that I am probably a victim like you of the same scam.
This has been going on for almost a year and unfortunately, I fell for it by repeatedly sending money, and coincidentally, each time I was about to receive it, something happened.
For the past two days, I haven't heard from him because I told him that I had done everything I could and that I am no longer able to send him money.
The scenario is very similar to yours; he is Brazilian, lost his father at a young age in a plane crash, and lost his mother a year ago. He is alone in the world and needs to come to France to start his business. He assured me that he would repay me without any problem; he had a Swiss bank account where he had to go urgently to recover the money. He called himself "Pedro DI PRO," but he put me in touch for the money transfers with a certain Enrico DESOUZA, supposedly a representative at the Brazilian Embassy in Abidjan, and his mission officer Julio CALVARES. He was supposed to arrive; I had just sent 1700 euros for his plane ticket, and coincidentally, the chargé d'affaires Julio CALVARES, who was supposed to collect the money, was robbed, stabbed, and is currently supposedly between life and death, etc.
Last night I heard nothing from Pedro, but I called the so-called consul Mr. Desouza to inquire about Julio, who told me that he couldn't comment on Julio's health status, that he was still in a coma, but that he would keep me informed.
I think I will report this to the police and, like you, continue to play along. I will first see if I have any news. I also have photos. In my story, which I haven't fully detailed to you, I have bits of all of yours.
Yet, I had been warned, but I fell under his charm and really believed it.-
Hello, I experienced the same story under the same name until October 2010 when he suddenly disappeared. I believe he made some money with his story because I myself fell for it. It would be funny to see if the photos we have are the same. I must admit he was charming on the phone, well-mannered, and spoke remarkably good French. I believed him too.

Hello,
I just went through the same story as you; I'm still in contact with him. I haven't sent him any money, and I won't. However, I have some photos of him from Facebook, and I would like to see if they are the same as mine. You know, a photo doesn't mean much, but I don't know how to send you the pictures. He goes by the name Philippe Lesage; he needs to stop this. Poor girls who fall for it. If it needs to continue, I will, but he will get nothing from me. Moreover, I work for a newspaper and I am in touch with a journalist (for work). I confided in him; he knows this game very well. The same person can go by several names, and we can unfortunately come across him multiple times; it’s a scam.

Three years ago, I fell into the trap of this "smooth talker"... it lasted nearly 6 months during which he first "seduced" me via the internet, MSN, and phone.
He told me the same story: wife and daughter missing in a plane crash, murder of his associate, fleeing to Côte d'Ivoire where he took refuge to escape death!
However, he had managed to set aside a nice sum in a French bank in Paris.
He thus scammed me out of more than 3000.00 euros (savings that were hard to put aside).
They must have made quite a profit with all of us.....
I feel bad and am annoyed to have been conned.
Attention to all.
I tried to file a complaint, but unfortunately, I have no way to do so; the French Gendarmerie can do nothing....-
On the other hand, I say this and I say nothing, but when someone you meet on the internet asks you for money, it's incredibly naive to fall for it.
I think that the day a beautiful woman (well, from the photos this person sends me, which she could have gotten from anywhere) contacts me online asking for money, I would be cautious and cut off all ties immediately.
Ladies, learn that the world is not made up ONLY of kind beings and charming princes. Next time, this way, you'll be more careful... -
Finally, false documents of all kinds, it is extraordinarily easy to forge a document. With Photoshop, I could create a new identity, making it look like I "scanned my papers." I won't give you a demo, but recreating an identity card takes no more than half an hour... As for lying, that's where caution comes into play.
I'm simplifying things, because things are simple, or less complicated than certain victims want to say: an individual you don't know by sight, who hands you documents (forged?), who tells you their story (lie?) and... in the end, even after a few months, who asks you for money. That's when you hop on the defensive and think for at least two minutes: is this a scam? It would save a lot of trouble...

Hello,
I just read your testimonials and I think I might also be a victim of a scammer. I met him on the site adopte un mec and his name is Jean Stéphane HURIAUX. He tells me he is originally from Canada, that he no longer has his parents, and that he came to France two years ago to live with a woman, but their relationship didn't work out. However, he decided to stay in France because he loves this country. He claims he has never been married and has no children. He is supposedly living in Aurillac, Auvergne, and is a financial consultant. We exchanged our msn and his address is stephane_huriaux@hotmail.fr. He also says he is crazy about me after just a few days of chatting.
Three days ago, he told me he had to go to Madrid for business, but that we would stay in touch via msn. He gave me an international phone number, 0022502590801, which raised my suspicions because this number is from Côte d'Ivoire, nothing to do with Spain.
So, I mentioned this to him, and he replied that he didn't understand why I was talking about Côte d'Ivoire when he was in Spain, and that this number was an international number. Then he started saying things like if I don't trust him, there can't be love between us, etc.
Following that conversation, I asked him to turn on his webcam because I wanted to be certain, and unlike the testimonials I've read here, I saw him on webcam, though not for long.
He matched the person in the photos: a handsome European-looking, dark-haired guy, but his webcam was glitchy, so we didn't stay on for long.
The next day, we spoke again on msn, and I asked him to turn on his webcam again, and oddly enough, he told me no, that it glitches and crashes his PC, and that he would do it another time if I wanted. I don't know much about computers; is it possible to have a fake webcam?
So here it is, I don't know what to think about all this. Thank you for telling me if you have also dealt with this Jean Stéphane and for sharing your testimonials. So far, he hasn't asked me for money yet.
Thank you all

Hello Zaza
especially don't give him any money, I almost got scammed too, the guy you described is exactly the same, for me he lives in Toulouse, works for himself, but that's false, I asked him several times for his address in France, he doesn’t want to give it, same goes for the cam, I saw him but his photo on Facebook doesn’t match at all, that already raised my suspicions, and after several searches on him, I learned that he is a scammer, luckily I was cautious, otherwise he would have robbed me of 3000 euros, it’s Western Union bank that alerted me, they warn people sending money to Abidjan, that’s where he lives and not in France. To this day, since I don't want to help him (he claims he was attacked, no more money for his hotel and to enter France), after spending the whole night reading comments from women like you and me, it’s a horror, it's better to be alone than in bad company, mine goes by the name Philippe Lesage, watch out for this name Zaza, don’t get fooled
friendship, kiss -
Hello,
I too was approached by a certain Desouza Camelo who lives in Nice. He is a merchant who buys cocoa in Ivory Coast. He is widowed and has a daughter named Juliana. He claims that his money was stolen and that he cannot return to Nice. He is dark-haired, charming, with very beautiful blue eyes. I did not fall for it because I immediately sensed the scam. I have a photo of him that I took with my phone when he turned on the camera. Be careful not to get scammed.
