Hello,
Is it possible to receive free TNT channels with my regular Metronic satellite dish (evolution 4, 2 IF inputs) with which I am already receiving the national free channels?
I can already receive TMC in clear but I have sound issues (I only have one LNB on the dish).
Thank you in advance to everyone.

"TNT without a decoder, just with a dish" ?????? Is it a joke?

The T.N.T (Digital Terrestrial Television) always and necessarily requires a TNT decoder (DVB-T), "and without a dish" adds unnecessary elements to nothing!!

It has been pointed out several times that TNT inevitably requires the trio: a TV transmitter, a UHF antenna, and a TNT decoder or adapter, external or internal. As for satellite, it requires a dish or a flat satellite antenna but with a DVB-S terminal or an analog demodulator, depending on whether the signals are digital or analog.

So we should avoid describing the most original and fanciful technical scenarios... TV via TNT and TV via satellite is a bit like a gasoline car and another one that runs on diesel...

OK, we are not completely stupid. What ROBERT1515 (and I occasionally) mean is "can we receive the TNT bouquet via an analog decoder?" TMC appeared suddenly, so why not the other channels?

The rephrased question is therefore "are there TNT channel frequencies on analog decoders?"

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Calm, zen, cool...

We have to call a spade a spade... an analog demodulator cannot technically receive anything other than analog channels... even less a TNT bouquet, because we all understood that it is broadcast in digital - according to DVB standards - and certainly not via T.N.T (DVB-T), since it is transmitted by terrestrial transmitters received with a rooftop antenna and by a satellite dish.

In short, the TNT has nothing to do with satellite TV, TNTSAT, C+, Canalsat, BIS TV, TPS, or the clear analog offer via Atlantic Bird 3 which has long offered the 7 national SECAM channels including TMC. So, regarding the question of receiving the TNT bouquet via an analog demo, the answer, we repeat... is NO...

However, if the question were "can we receive TNT channels via an operational satellite installation on AB 3," the answer is positive insofar as one is equipped with a simple DVB-S terminal for clear channels, but with a Viaccess card reader for encrypted TNT channels by BIS TV, with a subscription.

It's not obvious, but the clarification has been made, which should help avoid mixing everything up and creating confusion in some minds that had understood that TV broadcasting/reception technologies are specific... diesel and petrol car cliché....

In conclusion, to benefit, without a subscription, from the exhaustive offer of the 18 TNT channels via the Astra 1 satellite, a certified TNTSAT system is required.

Got it...

Got it and........cool

Thanks for your clear and precise response (without any technical lyrical flights).

I'll stick with my old analog demo and my 6 channels because the TNTSAT demo seems a bit expensive.

Thanks again!
