Problem with Nero, Audio/Video Sync Issue!!!

Hello,

So my problem is that when I burn my movies with Nero (DVD-R Sony), the sound works fine but the image glitches and doesn't play well; it freezes and as a result, the sound and image are out of sync from the beginning of the movie...

I also want to specify that some of my movies have no problems, but unfortunately only 20% work

I would like to know where the problem comes from and, above all, how to solve it...

Now I am burning with ConvertXToDVD (100% of my movies burn correctly with this software), but honestly, this message in the middle of the image really annoys me, so I would like to go back to my good old Nero...

Thank you for your responses
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.12

A DVD-Video is composed of two directories VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS (the latter is not important if absent because it's empty).
In VIDEO_TS are the IFO, BUP, and VOB files. For more information see here.

To burn this type of format, you need to go through Create a DVD-Video with Nero Express or Nero Burning ROM. For version 8 of Nero, this capability exists starting from NeroStartSmart, I believe.

As for the audio and video sync issue, it probably occurred at the time of creating the DVD-Video during the encoding. With Nero, you encode an AVI to create a DVD-Video using the Nero Vision application.
I really don't know how to fix this issue for this type of format, but you can check here: http://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/sujet 2959 video decalage du son et de l image d un fichier video divx and use the software VirtualDub-MPEG 2 which I think supports VOB (MPEG 2) files.

If you think this problem comes from burning with Nero, I don't see why, you can use software like DeepBurner or CD Burner XP Pro for example.
In these programs, there is no direct option to burn a DVD-Video, but you can work around this by burning a data disc. You put the two directories VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS in the file addition window, then start the burning process.

I recommend burning on rewritable DVDs for testing.

Hi, try burning with DeepBurner, I've never had any problems.

I just downloaded DeepBurner and installed it, but the problem is that I don't think it can burn DVD-VIDEO???

If so, how do you do it?

Because I remind you that the problem with Nero is that my DVD-VIDEO is out of sync

Thank youuu

When you launch DeepBurner, you can indeed choose the option to burn a DVD, right?

There are 3 possibilities:

- Create a data CD/DVD (put movies on a DVD to be able to transfer them to another computer but not the option to watch them on a standalone DVD player)

- Create an audio CD (No comments to make)

- Burn an ISO image (I've never really understood what an ISO image is so by the way if someone could explain it to me ^^)

Here are the 3 possibilities

Thank youuu

Gaetan, where did you see that Nero Express data DVDs don't play on standalone DVD players? If that's the case, change your player!
With Nero, you have two options: either you go for burn a video DVD, and it encodes (this can take several hours) but the quality is better (it all depends on the source)
or you go for create a data DVD, and it just puts everything straight onto the disc (about 7 minutes for 6 full movies).
I only had 1 problem with audio-video sync on a P2P file (fine on the computer but out of sync on the burn). I think some files of that type are infected by distributors to prevent illegal burning. I advise you to find another file of your movie.

Ok, you won't be able to read them on a standalone reader.
An ISO image is an image of a disk. It is useful when you don't have a drive available, with a little software to mount the image on a virtual drive that does the same job as a classic drive...

A OK....

but don't you know another software than ConvertXToDVD to burn DVD-VIDEO (free software)

Because I don't know if you've ever seen a movie with an image that displays every 5 seconds... IT'S REALLY ANNOYING ^^

Thanks and I hope you'll have one...

See you!

You need to test with DVDShrink, which allows you to copy DVDs. Sorry, I don’t know more.

DVD Shrink is great, but it's just for copying DVDs; I don't think you can burn them...

Thank you

If anyone knows more, please let me know, and thanks to got2be71.

Hello gaetan--10,

DVD Shrink does not allow burning. This software allows the copying and/or reworking of a Video DVD, and it prepares the project for burning, which is done with a burning software.

What version of Nero do you have?

What do you do with Nero, just DVD-Video burning or encoding to get a DVD-Video?

Best regards

I’m just doing DVD-VIDEO burning

I don't know how to encode for DVD-VIDEO

I don’t remember what version I have because the computer where I burn the DVDs is at my dad's place, so I’ll let you know the version of Nero during the week...

Thanks
