Hello
yesterday, I downloaded Piratrax and ran it: disaster!!!!!!
no way to start
I had to boot in safe mode and do a recovery.....
furthermore, I can't delete it!
yet, I would like to remove the old traces (I've had this PC for 10 years!!!)
Eraser, which I see above, will it be the same?
or is there another way?
Thank youuuuuuuuu

After testing and retesting, piratrax is simply a scam. It’s a simulation software that detects false traces to scare the user into buying the full version (often on sale :D). A bogus software to avoid at all costs. To uninstall it, first use ccleaner in tools to uninstall piratrax, then scan the registry to get rid of the keys.
P.S.: 5 years of development for this software according to technical support. lol... all that to produce a rogue, thanks Flavien...

Hello, I installed it too and to my surprise instead of cleaning, it created 70 folders of 3 GB each and completely filled up my hard drive,
it's nothing but a big scam.

to uninstall this software,
it's easy:
you can go to
START > CONTROL PANEL > Add/Remove Programs
and you choose PÏRATRAX.
and there you go!!

Good evening Lima
To uninstall software, I only use Revo Uninstaller.
It uses the software's uninstallation function and then.... it scans everything to find the slightest trace of files related to the uninstalled software, displaying a tree structure with everything that needs to be deleted in bold. You select the entries, click delete, it continues by showing all the folders, and after deleting them, if there are any left, you reboot the machine and that's it.

Hello,
worse than the Piratrax problem.....
is it because of him, who knows?
no more PC
it won't even start in safe mode, in any of the options
always worse, I went to fiddle with the BIOS
now, I don't know what to do....
if one of the forums could help me.....
when you're an idiot, you're an idiot: and I am!!!!

Et well, I thought it was useless too, but I tested it on an external hard drive to clean it, and then I used several software programs to "recover deleted files," and there was nothing left, no trace, as if the hard drive had come straight out of its box. So to all those who say it’s useless, I tell them to stop and give it a try; you'll see it actually serves a purpose ;)
I have been using piratrax for a while and I have no issues, I simply avoid "fat scrambling" I think everything comes from there.
I have no problem
with PIRATRAX, it works very well.
I think you must have a hardware issue instead.
I recommend that you seek assistance
in the "hardware" section and also post the error messages returned by Windows.
Good luck.

Hello jiunio.
I installed PIRATRAX on August 15, 2008, on my WINDOWS PRO PACK 3 PC.
After reading various posts online, I'm wondering if this program is really serious.
I see that as of February 2nd, you were very satisfied with it...
Do you still use it on your machine with satisfaction today????
Thank you for your response.
Best regards

Hello everyone,
I also installed Piratrax and this program is quite suspicious. First, the presentation and interface have a style reminiscent of children's games. We'll note that it says "special computer" lol. Then there's the concept of "trax," which I've never heard of before... Given all this, one might wonder what it analyzes during a scan; maybe it's a program that sends information from your PC to third-party servers. In any case, it should be avoided... I got rid of it by deleting keys in the registry and uninstalling it manually, and everything is fine now.
Good luck!

Good evening.
For me, no more problems...
After using it for more than 6 months and finding no advantages, I uninstalled this useless program without any issues...

I installed this software two days ago. My antivirus detected a Trojan virus during the installation. I canceled the installation. Then I tried to uninstall it. Impossible! Neither with the uninstallation option included with the software nor with add and remove! Since I was stuck with this software, I thought it might as well be worth testing. The program seemed to work well. It supposedly removed over 2 million tracks! I had to do a restore to no longer see the pirate's face! Since then, my computer seems slower and some programs are malfunctioning now. Is it possible to remove the damage and the last traces of this software of... or should I resort to formatting to restore my computer to good condition? Thank you!
Hello, it would be nice to specify which antivirus you use ;)
I was lucky that F-Secure warns me about the trojan during the download and not at the installation because it's too late once the virus or spy is deployed in your operating system.
There are even some that write in the boot sector of hard drives!
If software leaves traces and I know a thing or two, this is the first time I hear about traces!
Traces of what? Lol
It must have removed fragments of files that your programs use, which is where the problems you have now come from.
In my opinion, you might as well reinstall everything so at least you can be sure or almost sure that nothing will compromise your software.

Hi, download Revo Uninstaller and let me know what you think. It does a great job of cleaning up any installed software or program.
Once launched, click on what you want to uninstall, a window will open, click on the last box at the bottom and say ok. First, let the program's uninstallation take place. If after the uninstallation you're asked to restart, click no and then click next. This will scan the registry / select all and delete. Do the same process again to remove the remaining elements of the program.

Piratrax is a malicious software; I installed and tested it several times to make sure I understood how it works. Results: search > 6Go of traces after so-called erasure of traces
new search > 6Go. Conclusion: no impact on these so-called traces left on the hard drive.
Complete uninstallation is almost impossible with common tools (ccleaner, revouninstall, etc.)
You have to manually delete the leftovers by changing the attributes of the remaining folder and perform some non-standard operations. Then, use ccleaner to check the registry and remove all the remaining keys related to Piratrax.
Good luck and remember to create a restore file before taking any action.

For the past two years that I have been using Piratrax on hundreds of PCs, it has never caused a single crash, go look for your crash causes elsewhere! lol
How gossiping people can be, it’s unbelievable!…
I mainly use it to erase the traces of previous owners on second-hand hard drives, without having to perform "low-level" formatting which is far too long on large hard drives…

"After testing and re-testing, piratrax is simply a scam; it’s a simulation software that detects false tracks to scare the user into buying the full version."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Not quite, I tested this software in an isolated environment (thinstalled) and after use, it detected fewer, almost none; but it’s true that the graph showing the detected digital tracks scrolling is ridiculous, and the program insists too much on the supposed importance of deleting your tracks; it’s ridiculous advertising. But if you install it, you’re asking for it. It’s still less bad than telemarketers calling to annoy us at dinner time.
If you have nothing to hide and no one is using data recovery software to spy on your tracks, it’s pointless.
But to know if it can cause problems, how and why, that’s another story.
If he fills your disk, it’s not permanent; it's just to overwrite your "trax" and then delete what he wrote.
Having used PIRATRAX on hundreds of disks, I realized that the detection of traces was always proportional to the activity performed on the disks; those that had never been cleaned showed record trace rates, while those that had been cleaned showed minimal traces... Piratrax even cleans newly formatted hard drives or devices...
I understand that what can be "confusing" is the display of those famous traces, which does not call into question its effectiveness. However, buying a paid version is a big step, and personally, I haven't done it, as I only use freeware!...
