Retrieve a version of an Excel file Solved/Closed

Hello,   I made a mistake (saving an Excel file) and I would like to know if there is a way to go back to the previous save...  Thank you in advance for your help --  José Bové PRESIDENT.. (in 2012)

Yes, it's possible. By going to the folder where the file is located and without opening it, you right-click
go to properties and click on the previous versions tab; Then select the date you want the file to be restored to.

Hello  I would like to know if there is a way to go back to the previous backup...  Yes, but the previous backup must be on another medium: - CD/DVD backup - external drive - specific backup folder - specific backup. --   Always zen

I found this post in an old discussion:  By antic80, on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at 3:18:07 PM it's impossible I think. However, try the following procedure you go to start > all programs > accessories > system tools > system restore check the box to restore my computer to an earlier date choose a bold date that is before the date of your backup then next then next and finish I believe your computer will restart, do the restoration and restart a second time check if your document has changed however be aware that all the changes on your PC will also disappear so if you have created new documents since that date they will vanish --  A retired person basking in the sun of the Caribbean :-)Raymond
