Hello everyone
Right now at my workplace, there is talk of implementing a 2/7 team working system, meaning one team in the morning and one in the evening; and while everything I have read on the subject talked about weekly rotation, meaning taking turns morning then afternoon the following week; as far as I'm concerned, the hours would be fixed and definitive by team, is that normal?
Moreover, instead of having classic hours such as 5am to 12pm and 1pm to 9pm, in my case it will be 7am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm, is that legal?
Thank you in advance for your responses.

Thank you very much for your response.
I will check my contract as you advise me, but if I remember correctly, there are no specifics on this matter. If I'm wrong and my contract does mention it, am I then forced to endure a new lifestyle that is far from suitable for me? Indeed, I'm being led to believe there is no possibility of taking turns with my colleague from the other team, and it seems strange to me that these two time slots were set when there are more common ones available. Thank you again.
Furthermore, we have neither a works council nor a union.
And what do you mean when you say it's a more delicate procedure for my employer? Thank you in advance.

I advise you to consult the 35-hour agreement signed in your company, which will provide you with the options your employer has to impose shift work.

Hello,
first of all, start by reviewing your employment contract
does it mention a possibility of changing work hours?
this is the case in most contracts but you never know
if not, the procedure for the employer is more complex
is there a Works Council in your company, or one (or more) unions?
