Thank you,
but I was going to go to the Verbatim site...
Indeed, I followed the instructions in the guide...
I downloaded the drivers they offer for Windows 98SE but after that it doesn't work.... it asks to find a driver ...and I don't understand anything about this.... What to do????
Thanks a lot.

Hello

As far as I know, Win 98 does not support USB 2! Find the specific drivers, but Win 98 was the first Microsoft OS that managed USB.

Hello,
I recently bought an MP3 YP-U2, but my computer, which is running Windows 98, does not recognize my MP3 player, and the manual states that it should work on Windows 98.
It also mentions that USB 2.0 is required, and I think that might be what I'm missing.
I would like to know where I can download it for free (if possible).

Hello,
while searching I found:
the specifications of the Samsung YP-U2:
Samsung YP U2 Z 1GB white 573218 technical sheet

http://forum.generationmp3.com/index.php?showtopic=37442

so following the thread of the conversation, a device functioning in USB 2 will work in USB 1.
try connecting your USB stick to a newer machine with USB 2 and let us know.
then we will look at other steps.
see you later

Hi

Look here:
http://www.verbatim-europe.com/index/downloads_view.php?lang_id=3&cat_id=377&menu1=263&menu2=link2092
I don't know if it's the one you need, but it doesn't hurt to give it a try. If it doesn't work, you can always uninstall it.

Hello,
Windows 98 SE does not support USB 2.0, but it does support USB 1.0, so when connecting a USB 2.0 device, it will work in USB 1.0 mode.

Additionally, you can check different Windows links

As you can see, some hubs are accessible from Windows 95:

And finally for troubleshooting

See you!

Is there a generic driver that would allow W98SE to recognize USB peripherals like XP does...
I indeed have a Heden BEHED525U2C enclosure that is perfectly recognized with XP, but not with W98. As for the provided driver, it's the same hassle as with a Canon driver and W98; it needs to be installed from the start, otherwise it's a mess...
Who can inform me?
Thanks in advance
