Photoshop pointer issues

Solved

Hello, I have a pointer problem with Photoshop: while I’m working, their appearance changes, whether it’s: eraser, selection, cropping, brush, etc... everything turns into a translucent cross that is practically invisible. However, the desired appearance is properly selected in the preferences section, and I don't know what action is causing this. Nothing helps to restore the normal appearance, not even closing the software and reopening it. I have to completely shut down the computer and restart, but the problem happens again while working in Photoshop. Who can help me?
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Good evening, having worked quite a bit with this program, I believe I understand your issue.

If the selected shape is of a small diameter, you need to zoom in to locate the shape. I don't think your problem comes from there.

There is a key located above the left Shift key on the keyboard called Caps Lock; once you press it, the shape transforms into a pointer.

I hope these few lines have been helpful.

    Best regards
