Hello everyone,
I have a si120 control panel with the Sylcom software and the official Siemens cable. From a desktop PC (via the DB9 COM port), I can connect without any issues and I can program it.
However, the most convenient way is to connect once the panel is in place, so I installed Sylcom on my laptop. Oops, no DB9 port on it. I bought a USB to serial cable and the PC recognizes it well (pl2303 prolific driver). But I can't connect either from the laptop or from the desktop using this cable.
Both of my computers run on XP. If anyone has a solution?? Thanks in advance

IF YOU WANT, WE CAN TRAIN YOU LITTLE SCARAB, but you will have to travel because I think you are from Paris...
Otherwise, Brittany welcomes you, but we will first have to teach you how to run cables because if you are like TT14, you must be doing radio installations or you don't know anything about it at all and in that case...

Hello to you, newcomer!
Mr. is already insulting to me, but to tell you the truth, I do sometimes pull cables and generally speaking, it's the guys who are too lazy or slothful to pull (properly). Anyway, to 'shut your mouth', in a friendly way of course, I even pull cables with junction boxes (that is, pouring concrete) and even in the rain, it doesn't bother me...
But you don't need to... with batteries............... it's not necessary........... I'm almost sure you don't even bother to secure the remote radio relays!! !! !!! !! !! !!
We lift a plate or something else and then it's done...
You should call yourself The Magician instead.....
See you + VISIO from 35

I found a way to connect, after extensive research I decided to buy a series express card on the internet, and miracle, no issues recognized directly and perfect dialogue.
I saw on forums that the pl2303 driver for my USB cord had issues with XP.... I didn't want to know more and so I changed my connection method...

NO NO Fred, that's not very legal, call a licensed installer, or call someone who knows a bit more than you do because not everyone can rise to the occasion, right TT14 ...
Today I'm feeling great, guys
( ! by trying to type too fast, I lower myself to TT14's level, with some spelling mistakes, but TT14 doesn't do it on purpose ... )
I hug you tightly TT14, who are you, you little trickster?

I just changed my PC which is not equipped with the DB 9 serial port for using the SAQ11 cable. Is there a solution to adapt this configuration to my PC which runs on VISTA? Thanks to anyone who can provide a positive response.
Hi,
first of all, definitely don't try the connection via a low-quality USB-to-serial cable; I've tested 3 different ones with the right speeds and protocols, the drivers install without issue, but you have no communication with your control unit.
If it's a laptop, integrating an ExpressCard works for me under XP, how about Vista? Otherwise, for a desktop PC, you might want to try with a PCI card.

Hello,
I have had a Sintony alarm for 2 years and my installer has gone bankrupt. I'm a bit stuck on how to change the settings, even though I have the technical code.
I was told that with the software, the configuration was much easier than with the keypad.
Do you know how I could obtain this software?

Regarding the programming software for SINTONY 120 or others, you should contact a SIEMENS installer, as those who do not install these products do not have the aforementioned software *SYLCOM*. However, it should be noted that programming via the keyboard is the same but a bit longer. There is also the possibility to program it remotely with someone who has the program installed on a PC; you just need to provide the phone line number the control panel is connected to, then provide the indications and names of zones as well as the protocol of the remote monitoring PC (in the case of a subscription to a Central Monitoring Station).
I remain available for any further information.
Best regards

Indeed, remote programming by an installer or someone knowledgeable is possible; however, essential parameters must be respected: for example, the download mode, mode 1 active, no access code, no callback, the sintony number must be filled in...
Generally, the person doing it remotely is the installer.
But through the keyboard, sintony is very simple...
See you later.

Hi everyone;
To respond to sinto, no, I don’t know GRAVIS... is it for an intrusion panel?? Personally, I use Sintony panels (Siemens) and the Master range (GE Aritech). I find the Masters not very user-friendly and the TITAn software much less accessible, the main advantage is their integrated access control.

Hi everyone,
Kiurcher, excuse me, I thought you were knowledgeable. I also know Sinto, from Secom, RSI, ARitech, and to answer you, it’s true that the master version that I haven't installed but only retrieved is very comprehensive but you're right, quite complex for an untrained or poorly trained user. I think you need to be in the field because their menus and submenus are much more complex, if we can say that, for novices than the user-friendliness of the Siemens software.
You can also do access control on Sintony, and video image transmission on Sinto as well, but that serves more as a "complement" for small (simple) setups.
I also know Aplex, Topasic Pro, Domolock Expert, Eden, and a few products related to C A or intrusion, but at the moment I'm interested in Gravis. Have you found it, my dear...

I have the SYLCOM software on my laptop, but unfortunately my successor is having issues with his, so I left him everything until his computer is operational again, so he can set up his ongoing installations. I expect to get it back in mid-August; if you're not in a hurry, contact me after 15/08.

Hello everyone,
To answer your questions, I am indeed a security systems installer (Sintony, Master) as well as video (Bosch, TEB, Samsung) and fire (Esser, Siemens) systems.
I am currently on a temporary assignment near Quimper, but I'm still looking for work, hoping one day to be able to offer my own services...

I avoid totally wireless solutions as much as possible. Whenever I can, I mix: wired central, keyboard, and sirens. All the peripherals are wireless via a 433MHz quickbridge compatible with all systems because it delivers NO or NF, nothing simpler.
Hi Kiurcher,
I have a SI120, wired and wireless. I would like to make extensions, particularly wireless, but with equipment other than Siemens (due to cost).
Can your solution with a quick bridge work with the Siemens wireless transponder and, above all, are the new peripherals addressable in the Sintony?
On another note, can we find an IP connection extension module for the SI 120?
Thank you for your information.

Hi skipper;
The GE quickbridge is a 433MHz transmitter that allows you to control up to 8 radio receivers (IR, DO, DI, shock) or even 16 (2 on the same loop). Each receiver commands the corresponding output (so 8 NC or NO outputs) which you connect with or without a resistor to your central unit's inputs. This quickbridge requires a 12V power supply, which you generally take from your central unit.
This solution is indeed less expensive than Siemens.
As far as I remember, the SMN36 card is only compatible with the SI410.

I KNOW WHO YOU ARE TT14, too bad for you but too bad you don't know what your nickname little beetle is for!
THE BAUD RATE CORRESPONDS TO THE COMMUNICATION SPEED
FOR TELEMAINTENANCE, A TRON MODEL FROM SYNTONY DOES THE JOB PERFECTLY
ANYWAY, SIEMENS IS NOT GREAT AS A MATERIAL
NO MAJOR INNOVATION EXCEPT FOR THE SI410 (EVEN ACCESS CONTROL IS LIMITED)
I RATHER RECOMMEND THE MASTER RANGE (INTEGRATED ACCESS CONTROL OF THE ATS 1002 AND CONNECTIONS ARE MORE SECURE, PLUS A HOME AUTOMATION APPLICATION FOR ELEVATOR SAS MANAGEMENT AND ACCOUNTING, SIEMENS IS REALLY BEHIND)

You Kiurcher are a clever little one.
You propose a Map and here it is installed.
Luckily you give good directions otherwise we could think you are just making it up...
But we know that you will find what the little scarab asked of you.
You will have made someone happy by installing (yourself) this map... clever little one.
Good luck to TINTIN.

Hi everyone,
Yes, the card is laid out, but my last message must be over a month old if I'm not mistaken ??!!!! We can do quite a few installations in a month .... ;-)
Have a good evening everyone

Hi everyone!
Quick question for the Master students..... what is the GE equivalent of the input logic sintony: intrusion following tempo
Basically, a timed input provided that a timer is already active, and if not, an alarm.
Thank you

Hi Sinto,
I know a bit about Gravis, I did a project with a SI410 and a GRAVIS two years ago for a museum.
After having difficulty obtaining the software in French (the software was designed in Czechoslovakia, I believe), programming is super easy and using the client is nice.

hi,
thank you for your attention.
problem solved, I called the Control Post (pc) of Vitrolle and they sent me all the masks
I was looking to send some modifications on a prom 120 from a 152 but I was missing some references in my sylcom
no, I am not from GDP but a subcontractor, it’s almost the same we work together but not under the same banner.
bye

Hello, I am desperately looking for a mask for a SI152, PROM SI 150-CET V2.1, mask FF O789-10 E5. Thank you for your replies.
Where were you working?
I work for Fontenay (PC2) but since their restructuring of the 3 agencies, it's been going completely off the rails!!!

TO RESPOND TO KIURCHER A LITTLE LATE NO DOUBT
I think you need to go to Windows Device Manager, System, and there you have all the installed devices; you can also find your USB adapter there. In my opinion, it is simply not on the right COM port; you just need to change it to a different COM port (even if Windows tells you that the chosen port is already in use). Very often, the cable works on COM port 1 and 2.
