Hello,
I have a Canon IR2016. My problem is that when I connect it to my PC, it is not detected, which means I cannot use the printer function. Can you help me get the network card so that I can use the printer function via the network?

According to the information received here and there, it seems that the Canon IR2016, unlike the IR2020, cannot be used as a printer. I have tried to email the manufacturer for more clarification, but there has been no response. So I am still waiting for confirmation of the information I received.

I downloaded software from the internet that didn't solve my problem. Currently, I have opted for the network card, which should normally facilitate the use of the printer option. I think it's an alternative to this USB port issue.
The USB port of the 2016/2020/2016J only works if the IRPASS card is installed; without the IR PASS, the USB port is only for updates via SST.
The IR PASS 45 also comes with an RJ45 port, allowing you to integrate it into your network.
The drivers are provided with the IRPASS.
Note: this card is no longer available from the wholesaler (apparently no longer referenced), which can be explained by the recent release of the Canon IR 2018, which is equipped with the IR PASS card.

Thank you very much because I have 2 Canon IR2016, and I have the same problem that the PC does not detect the printer. I tried to activate the USB port in the printer menu, but it doesn't work. I contacted the supplier but received no response.

Finally, the supplier replied to me to add a card to activate the USB function; without this card, we can never connect the printer to the PC.

My problem is that I have a Canon IR 2016 photocopier that cannot be connected to the PC: when I connect the USB port, the computer does not detect this photocopier.
