Hello everyone,
I just bought a Packard Bell Compasseo 620. I had a connection problem with the GPS because I am on Vista. So I updated the OS and applications. It's as easy as pie:
Go to the Packard Bell website:
http://support.packardbell.com/fr/item/index.php?i=7600540400&pi=platform_alaska&dhepn=C048970000
There, you need to carefully read the update note in the "Technical Note" (click on the text "here" at the end of the sentence).
If possible, perform the operation with a different card than the original one. Otherwise, make a copy of the original card on the hard drive, remove the copy protection from the card (the small clip on the left of the SD card), and install the update software (not the bootloader) on the card.
The rest of the operation takes place on the GPS and is explained in the "Technical note."
Of course, after the update, restore the backup to the card to have the maps available again (at worst, everything is on the installation CD). Note that I lost my Favorites :-(
Best regards.

Attention,
For the indicated address, I have provided direct access to the Compasseo 300 page. Otherwise, you need to go back to support and make a selection either with your serial number or through a manual selection.
If you use the wrong version for the firmware update (OS and application), it will be a disaster...
Thank you

Hello everyone.
So, I have a huge problem.
I bought a Compasseo 300 GPS from Packard Bell from a friend. Then, I bought radar detector software at Darty and during the installation, it asked me to delete the existing map. Having done that, I now find myself with a GPS without a map... so the GPS is good for the bin, I guess. If anyone has the CD that came with the GPS, it would be really nice of you to send me the map of France by email or something else...
Thanks for replying, it's really annoying
Thanks to everyone and see you soon.

Hello everyone,
I need help.
I have a compasseo 300 GPS and I can't set up the radar POI. I've tried updating but it's impossible, the manual is not clear.
Thank you in advance.

Hello, you need to go to alertgps.com and choose the basic function; it's very simple and free. Also, make sure the GPS software is in the PC's drive. See you later!

Hello, I respond to messages. There is no update for the routes on the map of France; you need to buy a new map from PACKARD BELL for €59. Give me your response, papyzo.
Hi everyone
I got a France Packard Bell Compasseo 300 GPS, and I would like to "convert" it to Europe, is it possible?
How can I do it? Thank you in advance.

Hello,
I have a Packard Bell Compasseo 300 and I would like to know if it is possible to update the POIs (gas stations, supermarkets, etc.) that are available on this GPS. I bought it two years ago and there must be new locations for all the searches we can do within the POIs. Does anyone know a website where we can obtain these updates and how to install them on the GPS?
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to reply and see you soon
kisses

Attention, the links provided to Packard Bell only allow for updates that are not really useful (only functional or security-related).
FOR THE MAPS you need to go to the website http://www6.destinatornavstore.com/?tdfs=1&searchbox=1&showDomain=1 because this GPS uses the DestinatorApps software from this software publisher.
