Hello. Avast is sending me the following message:

ACERQAAGENT.EXE is trying to access your webcam or microphone. Then I’m asked if I trust this application. I have an ACER computer, what should I answer? Thank you for your help. Kind regards.

    Hello,

    QAAgent is an Acer "Quick Access" utility that is supposed to optimize energy management, which may be the reason it targets the microphone and webcam.

    My position, regardless of the brand, is that none of these "utilities" is good for anything other than wasting resources: if you uninstall them, you stop wondering about it.

    You have an Acer PC, so you have preinstalled Acer software; your antivirus request is therefore nothing unusual.

      Hello and thank you for your response. What seems logical to you does not to me! I am 79 years old and my knowledge in this area is almost zero, which leads to a certain distrust. I will refrain from downloading this application.
