Avast popup problem that starts unexpectedly

Hello,
My antivirus is TotalAV. I received my new PC a few days ago and the night before yesterday I went to Clubic to download utilities I use normally like Photoshop, PicoPDF, WinRAR, etc. so nothing illegal. While downloading, a popup window for Avast, as you find everywhere, opened; I clicked the arrow to close the page and that’s where it all started. Avast windows began to open (your PC is infected with 3 viruses, click here to clean). I close the windows but other pages open (your Avast subscription has ended since yesterday, please find a discount code, etc.). I have never subscribed to Avast, I never downloaded it. A friend of mine had the paid version; he ended up with ransomware and he lost the contents of his HDD. I would like to know how to make these pages stop opening. I have no intention of buying this thing that only protects the developers at Avast. I contacted Avast on Facebook; the guy couldn’t tell me how to fix it. I was advised to uninstall Avast and use Microsoft’s security, but I didn’t install Avast and I still reserve the right to choose which antivirus to use.
My PC runs Windows 11
thanks

Hello,
TotalAV is borderline and totally useless (Except for those who pocket the money it brings them)
Uninstall it with Uninstalr

Then if you want a useful method:

Good luck.
