Connecting a second screen /

Hello,
I purchased an HP Envy Move All-in-One 24 and I can’t connect a second screen via my HDMI cable. I know there’s a story about HDMI input and output.
I directly plugged in the HDMI cable, but my second screen freezes and doesn’t connect. I tried using an adapter/splitter plugged into USB-C with the HDMI cable connected to it, but nothing works.
How can I find a solution to combine my two screens with my HP Envy Move All-in-One 24?
My second laptop is either an HP or a DELL.

Thank you again for your help and tips.

Hello,

"but my second screen is freezing" So there is indeed an image?

When you go to desktop right-click => display settings => detect another screen, does it see it?

"My second laptop is an HP or a DELL." does the second screen work with either laptop?

Just to be sure, you are not trying to use the Dell laptop as a second screen?

Best regards.

Hello Oblixx,
Thank you for your response.
Only the HP (laptop) freezes when I am connected via HDMI. That is to say, the desktop is displayed, but nothing happens.
My HP Envy Move All-in-One 24 does not recognize a second screen.
I am looking to use the HP Envy Move All-in-One 24 as a second screen to drag my Excel spreadsheets onto it.

Best regards,

Nicolas

Would it be possible to have the references and brand of the second screen?

If two computers do not work on this screen, the problem likely comes from the screen itself. If you have another one on hand, it would be interesting to test it.
