Hello

My desktop tower does not have a CD player, so I have connected my external CD player to the USB port. The tower recognizes the player, but no sound is coming out. Could you please give me some details on this issue?

Hello,

A USB CD drive works on a PC because it has the necessary drivers through its operating system. Just having a USB port on the tower does not guarantee that the drive will work. This USB port is meant to manage a storage device like a hard drive or a USB stick.

You should consult the documentation for the tower.

Without knowing the references (brand and model) of your speaker tower, as well as those of your player, it will be impossible to provide an answer.

Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there...

The tower is a Carrefour brand (spoon) and the reader is an Asus.

Ok so the brand is Poss, ref: BTST401

I bought it at Carrefour.

OK for Poss BTST401 (we're far from the previously given Spoon).

But no manual seems to exist online!??

As for the player, the mystery of the model remains unsolved.

A priori, I think the audio formats played by the player are incompatible with those that the speaker is able to reproduce.
