Good evening,

I have a problem with Facebook. Indeed, for the past 4 days, all the images or photos I publish are framed on the right and left by a black band, which reduces the photo. Please let me know why and especially help me resolve this issue.

    I am referring to the dimensions of the photos (width x height) that are recommended by Facebook for optimal display, without the addition of black bars.

    For the photos you share via Facebook posts, the recommended size is 1080 x 1080 pixels. If they are this size, the photos will appear in their entirety without being altered.

    If you take photos from your phone, go to the editing options in the gallery and choose to resize them to a 1:1 format, then post these new photos on Facebook. Or, from a computer, download XnView MP to resize them. This guide should help you use the software.

    Hello Evelyne,

    Are your photos in the correct format (aspect ratio)?

    For the news feed, stories, and reels, your photos should be in 1080 x 1080 px (1:1) format. The feed can also accept photos of 1440 x 1800 px (4:5). For the marketplace, the recommended format is 1200 x 1200 px (1:1).

    If your photos are below these formats, Facebook will automatically adjust their display by adding black bars.

    Thank you for your response, but I'm not quite sure I understand what you're asking. All I can tell you is that I haven't changed the way I post images, photos, or anything else for years, which is why I'm confused about this "problem."
