Block Photo Sharing on Facebook Solved

Question

Hello,

I just uploaded a photo album on my Facebook page and my husband's cousin shared it... which means my album is now on his wall and open to his contacts... and I no longer agree with this!!! How can I prevent this from happening again???

I know a little about settings... I've already created 4 groups and I only upload my albums for close friends and family... so he had access, which doesn't bother me anyway... but for him to post photos that belong to me on his wall... I no longer agree with this... I've reported it as abusive so it has been removed... but I want to block this application and this possibility for the next time... I can't find the steps to do this.... thank you for your help

P.S.: I specify that my profile is locked and set to my only contacts - the "open to friends of friends" setting does not work on my page... I've blocked it.

From now on, on Facebook, the "Share" option only appears if the content has been shared in "Public" mode. To ensure the option does not appear, you must edit the post and change the globe icon to "Friends only."

Hello everyone,

You need to:

1. Go to your privacy settings,
2. Click on the "edit settings" button for ads, apps, and websites,
3. Click on the "edit settings" button in the section "how others share your information with the apps they use",
4. Uncheck what you want,
5. Save the changes.

Well, this trick doesn’t stop those who want to click on “share” a photo... I think you should always put your photos in an album and definitely not publish a photo directly on your wall as you can do with the new timeline (which, by the way, is pretty bad especially since we have no choice... eventually it’s imposed on us).
Anyway, Facebook is really getting worse and worse... and now that it’s gone public... the end is near lol.

I've been asking myself the same question for a while. I can't find any settings in the privacy settings that address this. Yet if I set my photo to "my friends," I don't understand how my friends can share it, and then their friends, and so on... Ultimately, the privacy settings aren't really reliable!!

Has anyone found a solution? (other than not posting anything, of course!!)

I'm experiencing the same issue; everything is set up perfectly on my end, access is very limited, but my family members (who have permission to access my photos) share pictures of my children on their walls, resulting in friends of theirs whom I don’t even know commenting on the photos, etc...

I want to block the sharing of my photos; I want them to be view-only.

How can I do that?

The only solution I found, unpleasant but effective: prevent the person who shared my album from accessing it.
In the album's privacy settings, under "customized," I entered the name of the person who shared the album without my permission in "do not share with."
On their profile, my album immediately disappeared; but they can no longer access it personally either, that's the downside, so I contacted them to explain and I will reopen access if they don't share it anymore.

In the end, the solution is not to share a photo of oneself on FB and the like... we keep going in circles with these sharing issues and it's annoying! It doesn't seem completely stupid to prevent "sharing of shares"! Why isn't that done?
Question asked to FB... and obviously no answer.

Personally, I have the opposite worry to yours... all my friends who share my photos, well no one sees them except our mutual friends... as a result, when they grab funny photos from me, they think they're flopping while the problem lies with me... I can't remember what I did in my settings, etc... anyway, I want the opposite of you :-)
