This type of symptom may be related to a faulty component in the television or due to a button being intermittently or permanently stuck on the remote control, for instance if it is dirty or if a contact is worn out or defective (be careful, the remote control can also be defective in terms of its own electronic components), to rule out this point, simply remove the batteries to make sure.

Have you tried resetting the television first?

Have you also tried unplugging the television's power cord for a minute or two?

Are you using the remote control when this problem occurs or not?
