Installing Windows on a so-called unsupported computer

Hello
I have a Windows 10 computer. Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 10 next month. Microsoft informs me that my computer is not compatible with the installation of Windows 11.
I would like to know if any of you have tried the CCM trick that allows you to install Windows 11 on an incompatible computer. https://www.commentcamarche.net/informatique/windows/29187-l-astuce-ultime-pour-installer-windows-11-sur-un-pc-non-compatible/
If you have successfully tried it, could you let me know if all the applications that worked on Windows 10 also work on Windows 11?
Are you receiving security updates from Microsoft?
Do you have any advice?
Thank you

Hello @jarnigoenne StatutMembre.
I have been using Windows 11 since its release, my PC is not compatible and yet everything has been working perfectly for several years.

A hello, a response, a thank you are always appreciated.
Hello,
If there is fear of upgrading to Windows 11 on a non-compatible PC.
There is still the possibility of switching to Linux MINT either alongside Windows 10 (dualboot), or instead of Windows.
Linux MINT is a distribution that does not stray too far from the habits of Windows users and there are plenty of video tutorials available to help get started.
Hello,
Yes, it works very well on my end with not too old PCs that only have processor incompatibility.
Anyway, Windows has no interest on low-powered PCs, and also, recent games won't run without UEFI, secure boot, or TPM, but if it's just the processor, it's fine; my regards to the Intel Core 6th & 7th generation and Ryzen Zen 1.
Best regards
Thank you Bazfile,
What was it that made your computer incompatible?
Are you receiving updates?
Have a good evening
What was it that made your computer incompatible?
It's really up to you to say what is incompatible on your PC; you're not providing much information, so it's hard to respond.
As for me, I don't really remember the incompatibilities; I only recall that the processor and the graphics card were not compatible. Updates are done normally; only major version upgrades (once a year) require repeating the procedure if we want to switch to the new version of Windows 11 (for example, from version 23H2 to 24H2). I've installed Windows 11 on several incompatible PCs, and there have never been any issues.
Hello,
If you try, let me know the result. I also have a PC that is approaching 10 years old, but for now I prefer to stick with Windows 10.
Thank you all! Your responses have been encouraging. I will therefore attempt to install Windows 11 on my incompatible computer by following the trick; however, as a precaution, before proceeding with the installation, I will make a clone on a removable disk.
Have a good evening and thanks again
