Windows 10 eMMC 32 Go

Hello,
I picked up a laptop running Windows 10 with 32GB eMMC storage... a commercial aberration. I did a clean installation of Windows on it, and it runs perfectly but
I cannot update the kb5062554 from July 2025, which fails to install.
I put the update on a USB drive, but I only have 5GB of OS disk space to install it. Before telling me that's too little, the update is supposed to tell me it's too little.
But let’s assume it's still a matter of space; here’s what I’ve tried:
- dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup
The operation was successful.
- dism /online /cleanup-image /spsuperseded
I imagine that since it’s a clean install of W10, there’s no service pack. It tells me the Service Pack cleanup cannot continue: the backup files for the service pack are not found.
- dism.exe /online /setreservedstoragestate /state:disabled
Since reserved storage is enabled, it tells me "this operation is not supported when reserved storage is in use. Please wait until maintenance operations are complete and then try again later."
I have been unable to disable the reserved storage.
I am posting here hoping that maybe one day someone will post a solution, hope keeps us alive.

Hello,
If it has very fast USB ports (USB 3.1 going up but verified as fast) and is easy to manage for booting from the Boot menu, consider the option of an external USB SSD, it can go up to 2TB with a NVMe 2242 or 2230 and a small 10gbps case.

(Beware, you need to be handy, I add a layer of 25mm electrical tape in the door of the case)
Then use WinToUSB to transfer Windows from its ISO file.
I hadn’t thought of that. Why not one day. I need to tape the SSD to the case so it doesn’t move if I understood correctly.
Otherwise, good news, it’s resolved by modifying a registry value in HKLM Software Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion and reservemanager (see Malekal's method for example) I managed to install all the updates by disabling the reserved space by Windows.
I think that by October and the end of Windows 10 I will be able to install all the updates!
See you later!
