Hello.

With Money Manager Ex, is it possible to load data saved with another software, for example data: .bdu?

Thank you!

    Hello,

If the software that uses the .bdu format allows exporting data to a CSV format, you can convert your .bdu data to CSV. Then, MMEX can import this CSV file, provided that the fields are correctly formatted (for example: Date, Payee, Amount, Category, etc.). MMEX offers flexible importing where you can define the order of fields in the CSV file.

      Hello,

      Probably not quite.

.bdu is just a backup format, likely coming from Accounts and Budget, and there's nothing we can do with it outside of this software.

It’s the working file Accounts and Budget that we will export to CSV; .bdu will only be useful if, for some reason, we have uninstalled Accounts and Budget, in which case we will need to reinstall it by importing this .bdu backup.

If the .bdu file indeed comes from Accounts and Budget, the software allows exports in CSV format!

Yes, absolutely, but from the software itself, not from the .bdu file taken in isolation which we won't be able to convert to CSV.

      Thank you!

But... having no existing setup in MMX, no menu is offering me to import the CSV files that I exported from Accounts and Budget...

      Thank you!

But what is the working file for Accounts and Budget? I think I only have the BDU backup files...
