Hello,

I'm writing this message because I need help.

I've been trying for a few months now to activate secure boot on my PC, but unfortunately it's impossible.

Once I disable CSM, I can't return to my BIOS by any means to enable secure boot.

When I try to go back to my BIOS with CSM disabled, my PC beeps 5 times because it doesn't detect any display.

I've tried connecting to both GPU and motherboard, but it does the same thing.

The only solution is to perform a CLEAR CMOS.

Once the clear CMOS is done, everything goes back to normal.

For your information, my disk where Windows is installed is in GPT; I’ve checked.

PS: since I performed the CSM manipulation, I no longer have RGB on my GPU.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello

Disabling CSM requires enabling UEFI mode in the BIOS, which makes the Windows partition inoperable if the disk is in MBR. And vice versa. So it's unlikely that your system disk is in GPT.

We would also need to know your configuration and the version of Windows, that goes without saying...

Install https://userdiag.com/fr/

Run a quick diagnostic and paste the link to the report here. That will help clarify your configuration.

Unfortunately, I am unable to provide you with the details as last night my screen went black. My PC powers on ("fans, RGB, etc."), but there's no image at all; I tried to clear the CMOS yesterday, but still nothing.

I had selected the startup beep in the BIOS. This beep would activate when my PC detected the display. But now I have nothing, no beep and a black screen.

I just cleared it, and upon restarting, my screen lit up with a beep and my motherboard logo, but then nothing happened; the screen stays on but black.

The EFI partition is present, so apparently we're indeed UEFI, and the system is probably in GPT format. However, we should verify this in the disk manager. Other than that, everything is normal.

How is the PC behaving now? Have you tried Valorant?

The PC is normal now because I did a CLEAR CMOS.

So CSM is re-enabled and Valorant is not working.

Yes, I assure you that I am on GPT because I went into the command prompt to check.

Regarding Valorant, the issue has often been raised on this forum as well as on a multitude of others without necessarily finding solutions.

Yes, I was expecting that. I'm giving up the idea of playing this game.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to me.

All the best.
