How to update EMUI?

Updates are offered at the manufacturer's discretion. If Huawei does not provide an EMUI 10 / Android 10 version, it is because they consider the device too old for that, and they will never offer it.

Unfortunately, your only option is to find an alternative application (when possible ...) or to change your device.

Note that there are Android emulators for computers that can be helpful (for example, https://www.bluestacks.com/fr/index.html; their marketing focuses on games, but it works with all types of applications)

To update EMUI on your Huawei phone, you have several options. You can manually download and install the update package by going to "New version > DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL," or you can enable automatic downloading via Wi-Fi and the night update, which takes place between 2 and 4 a.m.

Make sure your device is on, locked, and that the battery level remains above 35% during the update.

You can also use the HiSuite software to update your phone by connecting it to your computer and clicking on "Update system."

Upon checking, the basic Y9 is not on the list of mobiles benefiting from EMUI 10, so I agree with @T3chN0g3n StatutMembre on that.
