Using dictation with Writer

Hello,
I'm trying to use dictation in Writer.
To start, I press Windows+H.
I get a microphone at the top of the screen with the following message: “This application does not fully support dictation.”
Except that… for now, it doesn't support anything!
In the settings:
- Voice recognition is enabled.
- Thank you for your help
- Best regards

Hello,
I just did a test with Writer (in LibreOffice on Windows 11).
I have the same warning message. But dictation works perfectly.
So I don’t really see where the problem might lie. Have you tried dictation with other applications?
What we conceive well is clearly stated,
And the words to say it come easily.

Thank you Pierr10
Your message served as a trigger.
This comes from my computer (HP) where I need to plug in an external mic (the original mic is much too weak now).
My apologies...
and thank you for your response

I did a test on Windows 10:
- With LibreOffice Writer: it doesn't work, whether with the built-in mic or an external mic.
- With Windows Notepad: it works. But rather poorly compared to what I have on Windows 11.
It is important to remember that an active Internet connection is required for it to work.
What is well understood can be clearly stated,
And the words to say it come easily.

At home, dictation now works with both. (windows10)
However, this software doesn't seem to be able to interpret commands when we say, or period. or new line.
I just dictated these 3 previous lines, and I need to review and make a few additional corrections before sending.
With AI, it should improve???
Have a nice day
