Hello,

Can you help me please!!
I'm hopeless with computers and since yesterday all my Word files open with Open Office even though I’ve never saved a file in Open Office myself. I want all my Word files to go back to being Word.
I run a business and this is a big problem for me.

    Hello,

    Right-click on one of your Word files, then go to "Open with ->" and click on "Choose default program...".
    In the list that appears, select Word (2007/2010/2013/2003 depending on your version).

    Hello,

    To solve your problem, you just need to redefine the association of Word files with the Word software. To do this:
    - open a file explorer and go to a directory where Word files are located
    - right-click on one of the Word files and choose the Open with menu
    - In the list that appears, check the box Always use this application to open .docx files and select the Microsoft Word software
    - click OK to confirm your choice

    The menu text may vary slightly depending on the version of Windows you have, but the principle remains the same.
