Hello,
I often read texts with Accessibility, but now the speech synthesizer reads French with an English accent. However, the language is checked under French France. I haven't found a solution. Can anyone help me, please?

Hello,
Go to the "Language and input" settings and select the "Text-to-speech" option. Make sure that the set language is French, even if it shows "system language" or "default language." Still in these settings, check if the French language pack is installed and selected.

Good evening,
Thank you for your response. Everything is set as you indicated. Is it still in an English accent?!? However, it was working well a few weeks ago.

Hello,
I've taken a long time to respond! But I've noticed that in the language packs, nothing is selected. When clicking on download, nothing happens, regardless of the language, so I think the problem lies there. What do you think?
Thank you for your help

Hello,
Yes, the problem may come from there. Try restarting the phone, checking if all updates are installed, and attempting with a different connection.
If it still doesn't work, go to Settings > Applications > (in the options, select "Show system apps") > Download Manager > Storage > Clear data.
If the download still doesn't work, reset the Google Voice Recognition and Synthesis app just like you did for the Download Manager.
