Getting Started with Galaxy ZFlip6
Andy -
Hello, I just bought a Galaxy Z Flip6 and I can't figure out how to set it up.
I had a Galaxy Y, which is completely different but when I unlocked it I had the icons. On the Z Flip, I choose the language and font size and then I don't understand the next steps. When I scan one of their QR codes, the message I receive says the QR code is invalid.
I contacted Samsung but they wanted a photo of the issue. I told them there was no issue, I just lack sufficient knowledge. They couldn't help me.
I don't have a SIM card yet but I should still have the icons on the screen.
Could you please help me?
Thank you

Hello,
I don't have a Samsung Z Flip6, so my help will necessarily be limited.
The user manual can be downloaded here:

Normally, for the initial setup, you need to
1) configure the wifi (since you don't have a SIM card): choose the network and enter the password.
2) add your Google account (gmail address and password)
3) set a strong screen unlock method (other than swipe): PIN code and fingerprint, for example.
Usually, all these operations should be done during the first startup of the smartphone.
In the user manual, they mention that you need to set up a Samsung account and log in. For me, it is not essential for the smartphone to function. It's great to use Samsung services, but it's not the most important thing.
What is well understood is clearly stated,
And the words to say it come easily.
