Hello,

I just bought the Samsung Galaxy S and I would like to set a code to access my messages, but I don’t know how to do it. I had downloaded Crypt Your Life as recommended in a forum, but it doesn't work. Do you have any other ideas? Thank you

Hello, it's very simple!
Just go to 'Android Market' or 'Market' depending on your phone, download Handcent (it's free).. Then, like me, you can optionally download the French version..
Once this file is downloaded, click on the little star (at the top right, above your messages), then 'Settings', then 'Security and Privacy', 'Lock type' and choose the one you want and that’s it! ;)

You need to download Go SMS Pro French or Handcent SMS; it's the best thing.

Go to settings, "security", then "encryption" and click on "encrypt the device".

  Sure, I'm a bit late, but the solution is Smart Lock Lite! You download it, then you choose the apps where you want to set a password (messages, files, music), and there you go, then you check to activate it on your port, and there you have your password where you asked for it. But by the way, the password is the same as your SIM card: /
