Hello,
I have the same problem with an external hard drive power supply from the brand HEDEN. The warranty just expired a few months ago!
The power supply is a Coming Data Model: CP1205 and the green light only comes on briefly while making a loose connection sound!
Is there a solution to repair the power supply or replace it without having to buy a whole new case?

Hello,
I have exactly the same issue as you. The warranty has just expired after a few months, I have a case with the same characteristics, for a Yakumo hard drive brand.
For me, the indicator light no longer turns on, I'm in the same mess, it just gave out like that. I would have liked to help you and help myself at the same time.
If someone could help us, that would be great, thanks.

I found a solution by dismantling the power supply that was "grizzling." In fact, a solder joint of the switch with a small circuit board was defective. I just had to redo the soldering properly and close the case. It’s as good as new now. However, be careful because the power supply is not meant to be disassembled!
Hello everyone, I had the same problem as you. Being an electronics technician, I didn't hesitate to open the casing; in fact, the failure is due to a 220Kohms 1W resistor that needs to be replaced.
It is located under some glue, perpendicular to a capacitor, and is connected to pin 7 of the TD3843A integrated circuit.
After replacing it, the power supply works again, and the external hard drive does too (phew, 200GB of MP3s saved).
For more details, feel free to contact me.
