TCL 43P610 issue

Hello everyone,

I am having a persistent issue with my TCL 43P610 TV (purchased in June 2022) that seems to be software-related. Here are the details:

**Problem:**

The TV only responds to the physical button commands (power on/off, volume, channel changing, input selection). The remote control does not work, and I cannot access the Android TV interface. Additionally, horizontal lines appear on the screen, which makes me think of a software corruption rather than a hardware issue, especially since the TV has never been physically damaged.

**What I have already tried:**

1. **Soft reset:** I tried a long press on the power button (10s), but it fails with the message: “Software file check failed, please unplug the power cord and plug it back in, and try again.” The TV then turns off with no other option.

2. **Firmware update:**
   - I downloaded the official BIN file (V8-S586T07-LF1V020) from the TCL website and followed the standard procedure (FAT32 USB drive, TV off, long press on the power button). However, the update does not start.
   - I checked the file by downloading it multiple times and testing different USB ports, but to no avail.
   - I also tried a compatible IMG file found on XDA following the same procedure, but with no results either.

**Additional context:**
I just replaced the motherboard with an identical, fully functional model found online, but the initial problem remains unchanged.

**Possible hypotheses:**

Considering that firmware updates are failing, I suspect a possible internal corruption at the boot system level or the memory, which would prevent the TV from processing the update correctly.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem or have any additional suggestions to resolve this issue? Thank you in advance for your advice!

    Hello,

When I read "I just replaced the motherboard with an identical, fully functional model found online, but the initial problem persists unchanged."

And seeing your issues, how can you be sure that the motherboard was fully functional!?

      Hello,

I bought it from a site that seems quite reliable and indicated that the motherboard was functional.

Furthermore, it would seem surprising to me that it has exactly the same problem as the other one.

      Thank you

        Hello,

The entire platform is in German. It's hard to navigate.
