Hello
BIOS updates for this type and brand of laptop can no longer be found.
Except on alternative sites, but with no guarantee of what is in the file.
Why would you want to update the BIOS of an old laptop? It’s generally only useful for changing the processor, which is completely unnecessary on a machine like that.

Hello,
Everyone can try to make the changes they want to their hardware, but according to your recent request:
https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-38113573-mise-a-jour-bios
you didn't mention having succeeded in accessing the current BIOS.
Thus, changing the BIOS is only necessary if the motherboard manufacturer has decided so for reasons of applying fixes or if you are changing the processor, which is not feasible on a laptop of this type.
Furthermore, it is a delicate operation that can result in a permanent blockage of the PC in case of mishandling if one does not have sufficient technical knowledge.
In any case, it requires that you first resolve the BIOS access issue by following and reporting the procedures proposed by previous contributors rather than posting a new request without mentioning the unresolved problem.
Moreover, knowing that most laptops do not change BIOS throughout their commercialization, you will have difficulty finding a site that offers you one.

Good evening, indeed it's because I can't solve my problem of entering the BIOS to modify it that, after trying in vain all the solutions you suggested, I am turning to other options.
Is it possible that I locked the BIOS view with a function key + fn for example?
I don't know what to do anymore and I can't find a detailed manual for this damn PC; if you have a website, it would be welcome.
Best regards
Yes, of course, it's the first thing I did, I performed all the operations given in the chapter "Unable to enter the BIOS".
All of this because I want to add 4GB of RAM and it's refusing to accept it.
My advice is to follow the guidance of the specialists who have given you information. You won't be able to reach a solution by randomly starting operations whose details you do not know in advance.
I don't know of any website that offers training in troubleshooting, even though there are video tutorials for disassembly and testing (I would advise against attempting these delicate operations without sufficient expertise and measuring instruments).
Personally, although I have fixed a good number of computers out of curiosity over 50 years of amateur practice, when I hit a problem, I turn to customer service.
That said, flo88, a recognized professional, is perfectly capable of assisting you within the limits of a remote intervention, provided that you accurately report the results of your tests.

Since Windows 10, try this method, knowing that UEFI = BIOS, but given the age of the PC it may not work.
Otherwise, the brute force method: Disconnect the hard drive (or SSD) where Windows is installed, without a storage unit, the BIOS will display. But well, if it's impossible to enter it with the keyboard, then there is a problem with the keyboard.
