ASUS P5Q Pro BIOS Update Solved

Question

Hello,  I want to update the BIOS of my motherboard.  Knowing that I don’t have a floppy disk drive, what are my options?  Thank you

there is an asus utility that allows you to do it automatically and safely I can’t remember the name wait I will check

go to the asus website here

search for your motherboard

and you have a bios utility

Thank you for this quick response!  The problem is that on the Asus website, they say it's mandatory to use a bootable floppy disk...

not with asus update I've already done it with an asus p5kpl before my p5q pro turbo and no issues

Hi, you normally have asusUpdate that downloads the BIOS and updates it directly on Windows XP.

small clarification for it to work the firewall must allow asusUpdate access to the net

It's good, I updated the BIOS via EZ Flash and my USB drive, yay!  Thank you for your help
