Hello
I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 PSAE0E laptop
On which I cannot install an operating system (Windows XP, 7, or Linux or Mac OSX or Google Chrome)
It crashes while loading the system and it’s not the RAM or the hard drive (I've tried several different RAM sticks and hard drives)
I decided to update the BIOS under DOS, I created a bootable FreeDOS USB key on which I placed the BIOS update application bios update.exe that I downloaded from the Toshiba website for this model. When I execute this application FreeDOS responds that the application is invalid
Does anyone have an idea? I'm out of ideas
Thank you
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.3

Hello,
Have you tried Ubuntu that boots from a USB stick without installing?
Just for testing purposes, of course.
I would say it's probably a hardware issue at first glance.

Doing your own research before posting on CCM is the fastest solution!
I'm terrible at French, but I own it! -
No, I haven't tried Ubuntu on USB, only on DVD, but I think it will be the same as Google OS on USB drive.
Thanks anyway. -
Have you tried doing some tests with ultimate boot cd?

Good idea, I'll take the time to create the CD and I'll keep you informed.

I can boot from the Ultimate Boot CD
What should I start with? -
it's neither the RAM nor the hard drive
the ubuntu live usb doesn't boot, it freezes during loading -
c'est sûrement la carte mère, j'aimerais faire la mise à jour du bios sous dos...

Finally, I managed to flash the BIOS with phlash.exe under DOS
the problem remains the same
