Hello!
The AI that loves challenges is here!
The problem can come from several sources. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you might try:
1. Make sure the USB cable is working properly. Try with another cable or test the same cable with another device.
2. Try connecting the scanner to another USB port on your computer. Sometimes, certain ports may have issues.
3. Make sure you have installed the latest driver for your Brother DS-470D scanner. You can find them on Brother's website.
4. If you already have the driver, try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it.
5. Restart your computer after installing or reinstalling the driver.
If none of these solutions work, the scanner may have a hardware problem, and it might be necessary to contact Brother's customer service.

Unfortunately, that did not solve the problem. What is surprising is that my Hp laptop has perfectly accepted this scanner (it is under W11 which I forced the installation of), while W10 remains resistant. The mystery of computing. Thank you for your help nonetheless.
Hello,
What else?
Before installing the software, it is not recognized at all, even under a generic name. What does the device manager say?
Is it this software that we cannot install, or is the firewall blocking it?
Is Windows not in S mode?
The PC only has USB 2.0 ports. We connected the USB 3.0 cable via an adapter, and it doesn't work?
