Hello,

I am using PowerPoint/Office 16, which I use daily at my workplace to illustrate my points. For this, I connect my laptop to a junction box that gives me access to the room's screen and its projector. In fact, I do not use the room's PC, which runs LibreOffice.

As my images are displayed on the screen, click after click, I would like to be able to see the upcoming image on my laptop screen. Currently, I have the same full-screen image as on the room's screen.

I can't find anywhere the function that allows for a different view between my laptop screen and that displayed in the room.

Does anyone know how to proceed?

Thank you very much in advance!

F.

Hello.

In the slideshow settings, select "Presenter view" (at the bottom right of the window).

Okay, I'll give it a try.

Thank you!

... you also need to make sure that the screen and the projector are not in "mirror" mode but in "extend" mode. Two methods:

  1. In the "Settings" window, choose "Extend these displays," and not "Duplicate these displays".
  2. You should have, among the function keys at the top of the keyboard, the [f4] key (which, depending on the brand of computer, may require pressing the [fn] key at the same time, or function): This will bring up the PROJECT window where you can choose between Duplicate or Extend.

Best regards.

I will also check that.

I tested it today, it works (at least in one of the rooms).

However, in "presenter" mode, when I start-F5 the slideshow, I don't have the sound for the first slide (the following ones do).

Best regards

I tried everything, it works perfectly, thanks again.

Just one additional point, is it possible for the sound from slide #1 not to be muted (it isn't from slide #2 onwards)?

Sorry; but it's been years since I stopped including sound in my presentations: more hassle than benefits!

So I can't help you...

No problem, thanks anyway for your explanations, at least I know how to proceed with the main issue!
