Hello, I have just acquired an HP ENVY 7200 series printer (with Wifi connection) and I have a Free box. I connect the printer to the box via WIFI and it works. After use, I turn off the printer and when I turn it back on, it no longer has the Wifi connection to the box. I have to redo the connection process every time.

Could you explain to me why and how to fix this? Thank you.

I want to clarify that I have previously had a HP Wifi printer on this box and once connected, it saved the connection permanently.

Best regards

    Hello,

Have you installed the drivers for your HP ENVY 7200 series printer?

Hello and thank you for your response.

Yes, I have installed the driver and all the software for this printer. My computers can see it on the network, and I can print with it as long as it is on. The problem is when I turn it off (in the evening or before being away); when I restart it, it has lost the Wi-Fi connection, and I have to redo the process to reconnect to the box’s Wi-Fi (via WPS).

    * I turn it off in the evening (or when I’m away) because it never goes into auto sleep mode! I've created a ticket with HP, but no response to date.

    Regards,

Hello, with a few months delay... HP must have performed an update on my printer and since then it no longer has the Wi-Fi connection loss bug.

    Best regards
