Hello everyone,

my question may seem simple and I don't think I'm completely clueless about computers for this kind of topic, but I'm really stuck and I haven't found anything on the web... I'm pulling out the little hair I have left...

My only problem is that I bought a small printer (Epson xp-2205) for which it states that duplex printing is manual. I am on Windows 11 with an Asus PC connected to the printer via Wi-Fi.

I've changed and adjusted all the settings through printer and scanner, device management, the printer dialogue box... but nothing works, when I want to print duplex it only prints on one side. There is no dialogue box asking me to click "ok" to flip the stack of sheets....

If anyone has a solution, I thank you in advance and I want to specify again that this printer is indicated as having manual duplex printing because I have seen many posts stating that it does not have duplex printing. Unfortunately, I have found no way to contact Epson's customer service, only a support bot that repeats the same thing over and over....

Thank you in advance for your responses

Fabien

    Hello,

Have you installed the drivers to update your printer? Check this link to see if you can print double-sided?

    Hello,

yes, I checked that the drivers were up to date and I even downloaded them again from the Epson website and the message indicates that everything is perfectly up to date...

    I don't understand anything...

    Hello

I had an Epson that did manual double-sided printing.

It would indeed first print everything on the back, then through the printer driver dialog, it would ask to take the sheets and put the stack back in the tray while turning them over, pressing "OK" would restart the printing on the front side.

You need to check your driver settings, and print from the printer dialog, not from Windows.

    Hello,

The manual duplex printing is nothing automatic....

      That's exactly what I explained.

Sorry, but my issue is marked as resolved when it is not.

I’m not blaming anyone, but my problem remains the same; the manufacturer states that double-sided printing is manual on this model, yet it does not print double-sided (please read my post carefully). So either there is a problem and I'm still open to solutions, or the manufacturer is lying...

Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this.

Why change your username in the middle of a conversation?

You seem to have misunderstood what flo88 wrote in message #5 and what my message #6 confirms (excerpt from Brother)

I am resending you this excerpt

It is explained that when you choose to print double-sided, the printer will start by printing the even pages on one side of the sheets. Then it is your responsibility to place the sheets back in the paper tray by flipping them over (manual part). Finally, you will need to restart the printing of the odd pages.
