No duplex printing on hp 6700

Hello everyone
I have a big problem with my "OfficeJet 6700 Premium" from HP,
I can't scan double-sided
and therefore it's impossible for me to create a PDF file with multiple pages
there is indeed a double-sided option that can be checked but it immediately disables itself
help .........

      Hello Fermiparadox, actually it seems that I didn't express myself well
      the problem is that when I scan to PDF, I can't scan multiple pages into the same PDF file, I have to do 1 page = 1 PDF file while with my previous printer/scanner, 4 pages could fit into a single PDF file.
