Remove 2 notifications from my messenger bubble on Facebook

I have an iPhone 14 and when I open my Facebook, there’s a messenger bubble in the top right corner showing the number 2 as if I have 2 messages, but I don’t. How do I get rid of the number 2?

    It might be a bug in the app. Here's how you can try to fix this issue:

    1. Close the Facebook Messenger app (fully, not just minimize it in the background).
    2. Restart your iPhone.
    3. Reopen Facebook Messenger.

    If the problem persists:

    4. Uninstall the Facebook Messenger app.
    5. Restart your iPhone again.
    6. Reinstall Facebook Messenger from the App Store.

    Also, check if you have any unread messages in other folders such as message requests or filtered messages. Sometimes, notifications can come from those folders.
