Smartphone slowed down by Family Link.

Hello,
I recently changed phones.
Since my son goes to middle school by himself, I decided to get him an internet plan and give him my old phone.
The phone is a Redmi Note 8T (4+128GB).
It has never been a monster in performance, but when I used it, it managed fine.
Since I gave it to my son, it’s been a disaster. Animations lag and sometimes it takes 15 seconds to open certain apps like Google!
I thought it might be an OS issue, so I reset the phone without placing my son's supervised account, and it works perfectly. But after re-adding his Google account, the problem returns.
I conclude that the problem comes from Family Link.
Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks in advance.

Hello.
Whenever any protection is applied, it automatically causes slowdowns, because Family Link analyzes everything done on the phone and authorizes or blocks certain operations based on the configured settings.

Good evening,
Thank you for your response.
That seems excessive to me for a simple parental control, but given the number of people you help, I imagine you are a reliable source.
Have a good evening.

I can only respond based on what you observe, but that’s not surprising; review the Family Link settings and lighten them to see if it’s better or not.
Have a good evening.
