EPSON ET-2876 torn paper or jammed object

Hello,

The error code has appeared, and I can't fix the issue.

My EPSON printer is not working; it indicates that there might be a paper jam or an object. I can't access the inside properly; the latch located at the top left of the printer under the scanner does not give me access to the inside because it doesn't open completely. It opens in two stages, but not high enough for me to see if there is any paper jammed. I don't know what to do; I’m not familiar with EPSON as my previous printer was a HP. Behind the EPSON printer, where the paper is loaded, there is also no door that opens, so how do we access the inside of the machine?

Thank you for your help in advance.

    Hello

Lift the keyboard with the screen underneath, a door opens giving access to the printhead, check if nothing is stuck, turn off the printer.

    See you later

    Hello

Yes, I did that, but the door that opens to access the print head only opens a little and is not enough to see what's inside the printer. There is indeed a latch that allows the scanner to be raised a little in the top left, but I can't completely open the top of this printer to see if something is jammed or not. I would like to know if it's my printer that has a defect because in every printer, we have access to the reading head and the feed roller to remove any jammed paper.

    Thank you for your response

Yes, you can still see if a paper is stuck, but not a small piece of paper or a foreign object.

    Hello,

On a a Lexmark with the same problems, I cut the back off with a soldering iron, saw, and wire cutters.

I worked up a sweat, but now it’s much easier to access.

Note: Avoid this maneuver if the device is still under warranty, of course..
