EATON ELLIPSE inverter failure: does not start

Hello everyone,
I have two EATON ECO 1200 inverters that are broken. They both have the same symptoms: they won't start, but the OK light is green. When I press the power button, nothing happens. I plugged them into the mains (but no devices connected to them) to recharge them.
They have been charging for a week now.
For your info, the first one didn't restart after a power outage, and the second one has been stored and hasn't been used for five years.
Do you have any suggestions on what to do or what to check for diagnosing/fixing?
Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Good evening
I would advise you to check the status of your batteries once they are disconnected.
The lifespan of a battery is different whether it's Cadmium or another type.
Open the inverter, disconnect the battery, and measure it with a small load; batteries are often 12 volts, 24v, or 36v. If you don't have a voltmeter, use a bulb suitable for the voltage and see how it performs.
Or go to a local repair station.
Know that batteries for inverters are not very expensive, but still choose a brand, not some random Chinese one.

Good evening,
Batteries often last a very long time.
When the one in use in the condo (800 VA, there is only one PC to control) broke down, the inverter had lived its life and was 12 or 13 years old.
Weighing the statistical risk of another failure, since I wasn’t the one paying, I didn’t find much difference between buying a new model on sale (Infosec, I have no shares) and a new battery, not to mention that changing it isn't very secure and that it should, in principle, only be done by after-sales service, which adds labor costs and markup.Indeed
The lifespan of a gel acid battery (which is your case)
The gel battery typically supports around 900 cycles, and some high-performance models, used under optimal conditions, can exceed 2,000 cycles. This allows it to have a lifespan of up to 10 years.
For your batteries, it's about 5 to 6 years.
For your batteries, I remind you that you have 2 connected in parallel, which is not the best setup, but that's how it is; one of the batteries can be weak and lead the other to premature aging, so you need to replace both each time. At Varta, the 12v 7a battery costs €14 excl. VAT; it might be worth it considering that your new inverter costs more than €220.
